MEET EZGO

EZGO (pronounced Easy Go) is the new premier  Rock and Roll oldies and Beach Music band in the Shenandoah Valley.   Hailing from Broadway, Virginia the group consists of four veteran musicians combining their considerable talents to bring the Shenandoah Valley and all of Virginia the finest in live musical entertainment.

Dr. Don Rellins- guitar:

Dr. Don Rellins has been playing music for over thirty years starting with top 40 bands in the 70’s and the new wave rock band      4 Out of 5 Dentists in the 80’s.  However it was his move to Virginia Beach in the 80’s that got him into beach music and classic rock and roll.  Hooking up with a former drummer for Bill Deal and the Rhondells he helped create the beach music band Coolin’ Out.  For almost 10 years Dr. Don played night clubs, festivals and concerts, weddings and private parties with Coolin’ Out from the Eastern Shore and through out Virginia and the Carolinas.  It was during this time with Coolin’ Out that he developed his unique guitar playing style which earned him the nickname Freddy Kruger on guitar.  “Beach Fever” once again has taken hold of Dr. Don with the formation of EZGO to bring the great beach tunes as well as classic rock and roll dance music back again!

Mike Rellins - bass:

Mike’s musical talents began early as he began playing the electric bass at age 12.  Throughout high school in the early 70’s he played bass in various bands while also playing string bass in the high school orchestra.  He was also active in the school choir and Madrigal singers.  A long career in the Navy following college kept him away from music for many years.  Having retired from the Navy and resettling in Timberville VA in 2002 he got back together with his guitar playing brother Don to form EZGO and bring his long dormant musical talents back to life.  He has a passion for the 60’s era music played by - EZGO but his musical talents do not end there.  He is an accomplished banjo player who has dabbled in Blue grass music through the years.

Jeremy Warner - drums:

The youngest member of EZGO,  Jeremy "Boom Boom" Warner has been bangin' on dee drums all day since the age of 11.  While it is unfortunate that both his parents and all of his brothers and sisters have been rendered completely deaf  because of his incessant pounding, Jeremy's exceptional drumming had made him a major part of various bands in the valley for over 10 years. Now he provides the heart beat and ½ the soul of EZGO as besides drums he splits the lead vocal work with Dr. Don.  Jeremy wants you to know that if he is looking a little strange while playing the drums he ain’t spazin', he’s just groovin!

Jean DePiro - Keyboards:

Jean’s musical talent was discovered by her parents at the prime age of 3 when they were playing a record on the record player (remember those days?) and Jean went to the piano and started playing the melody of the song!   After several years of classical piano training, she decided classical was out and rock n roll was in.  Jean spent a few years with a local theatre group in Charlottesville, as musical director  for Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Charlotte’s Web, Godspell, Into the Woods and others.  Jean recently relocated to the valley and spends her daytime hours as Minister of Liturgy & Music at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Harrisonburg, VA.
