MEET EZGO

EZGO (pronounced Easy Go) was formed in 2003, combining the talents of four veteran musicians and has been providing top quality live musical entertainment from DC to the beach ever since.   Hailing from the Broadway - Harrisonburg area of Virginia the group has become a favorite for dancing the night away.   The band features rich four part harmonies that have our audiences singing along.  EZGO plays your favorite songs done right!  No originals here, the band performs an eclectic mix of the best cover rock and roll oldies from the 50's trough the 80's, specializing in sounding true to the originals and featuring a number of classic east coast Beach Music and Motown (or Shaggin') tunes you will not want to miss.  From Under the Boardwalk to Meet the Flintstones, from Ain’t Too Proud To Beg to Wang Chung, from the Bee Gees to the B52s, EZGO has something for everyone.

EZGO is a dance band!  Although we play many concerts and often perform classic ballads and slow songs we pride ourselves on a song selection that makes it very hard to sit still.   No matter where we play you will find people dancing with us.  EZGO has appeared repeatedly for local events such as the Independence Day Celebration at Bryce Resort and the Bergton Fair as well as concerts in Dinwiddie, Gloucester, Newport News, Reston and Richmond.  Throughout the year we also play private parties, weddings and special occasions.   EZGO is at its best in front of a big outdoors crowd on a hot summer night – that is what we were built to do!

EZGO has a big, big sound with a sound system to cover just about any venue, from very small to very big.  Never too loud - unless you want us to be -  we are accommodating and professional.   We work to make your event as special as it can be. EZGO band members are:

Jeremy Warner - drums:

The youngest performing member of EZGO,  Jeremy "Boom Boom" Warner has been bangin' on dee drums all day since the age of 11.  While it is unfortunate that both his parents and all of his brothers and sisters have been rendered completely deaf  because of his incessant pounding, Jeremy's exceptional drumming had made him a major part of various bands in the valley for over 10 years. Now he provides the heart beat and ½ the soul of EZGO as besides drums he splits the lead vocal work with Dr. Don.  Jeremy wants you to know that if he is looking a little strange while playing the drums he ain’t spazin', he’s just groovin!

Mike Rellins - bass:

Mike’s musical talents began early as he began playing the electric bass at age 12.  Throughout high school in the early 70’s he played bass in various bands while also playing string bass in the high school orchestra.  He was also active in the school choir and Madrigal singers.  A long career in the Navy following college kept him away from music for many years.  Having retired from the Navy and resettling in Timberville VA in 2002 he got back together with his guitar playing brother Don to form EZGO and bring his long dormant musical talents back to life.  He has a passion for the 60’s era music played by - EZGO but his musical talents do not end there.  He is an accomplished banjo player who has dabbled in Blue grass music through the years.

Stacey Lovett Clark- Keyboards:

Stacey has been tickling the ivories since age 6.   Although she only took formal lessons for 5 years, she continued to play using Barry Manilow and Elton John music to hone her skills.  After that brief bout of "I WRITE THE SONGS"  mental illness, she played keyboard and sang in her church music band for over 20 years.   An EZGO member since 2005, a 2 year hiatus in California took Stacey away from EZGO but now she's back to let you know she can really shake it down.  She is taking the place of the the multitalented Jean DePiro.   Her keyboards, back-up vocals and infectious smile add an enthusiastic, fun and feminine dimension to an otherwise unrefined, uncultured, unsophisticated and generally ignorant and loathsome group of guys!

Dr. Don Rellins- guitar:

Dr. Don has been playing music for over thirty years starting with top 40 bands in the 70’s and the new wave rock band  4 Out of 5 Dentists in the 80’s.  However it was his move to Virginia Beach in the 80’s that got him into beach music and classic rock and roll.  Hooking up with three extremely talented Norfolk cops, including a former drummer for Bill Deal and the Rhondells, he was a part of the beach music band Coolin’ Out.  For almost 10 years Dr. Don played night clubs, festivals and concerts, weddings and private parties with Coolin’ Out from the Eastern Shore and through out Virginia and the Carolinas.  It was during this time with Coolin’ Out that he developed his unique guitar playing style which earned him the nickname Freddy Kruger on guitar! “Beach Fever” once again has taken hold of Dr. Don with the formation of EZGO to bring the great beach tunes as well as classic rock and roll dance music back again!

Zak Lemasters- Zak Attack Master Sound Man:

Zak has been behind the board for EZGO since he was just about four years old.  Trained in the Jedi Master Sound Ways by the older boys in the band he has been the omnipresent sound balance par excellence bar none, described as "perfect" by some, for EZGO.  He is the reason we sound great in a little room with the volume down.  On our way to jobs he can usually be found in the little safety drum throne between Jer and Don in the band truck.  In spite of his age Zak is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, a  23rd degree Tae Kwon Do black belt and is quite the musician in his own right.  When not working with EZGO he can be found playing with his own band In As Much and singing show tunes in the shower with his cat Skittles!

Alan Good- Part Time Party Time Bass Man:

Alan Good is really good!  He has been our indispensable go to guy when Mike hasn't been able to do his bass thing.  He is a accomplished musician that plays our stuff with the tight groove it has to have.  We love having him bottom up for EZGO when he can!
